Protein-based luminescent aerogels with elastic properties

چکیده

Gelatin is a famous gel-forming proteinaceous material with excellent hydrogelation properties. Herein, we report that protein nanofibrils (PNFs) can be employed to form hybrids gelatin converted aerogels attractive mechanical Moreover, are able influence the gelation behavior of PNFs by mechanochemical processing. A combination mechanochemistry and aqueous self-assembly prepare functionalized hydrophobic dyes. These materials then mixed into freeze drying. We find lead formation more robust Mechanochemical methodology as green scalable method thus for influencing properties protein-based aerogels. This represents new highly flexible novel strategy tuning both functionality materials. work opens simple feasible way produce nontoxic biodegradable aerogel favorable strength.
